Review: The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare

When girl meets Duke, their marriage breaks all the rules…

Since his return from war, the Duke of Ashbury’s to-do list has been short and anything but sweet: brooding, glowering, menacing London ne’er-do-wells by night. Now there’s a new item on the list. He needs an heir—which means he needs a wife. When Emma Gladstone, a vicar’s daughter turned seamstress, appears in his library wearing a wedding gown, he decides on the spot that she’ll do.

His terms are simple:
- They will be husband and wife by night only.
- No lights, no kissing.
- No questions about his battle scars.
- Last, and most importantly… Once she’s pregnant with his heir, they need never share a bed again.

But Emma is no pushover. She has a few rules of her own:
- They will have dinner together every evening.
- With conversation.
- And unlimited teasing.
- Last, and most importantly… Once she’s seen the man beneath the scars, he can’t stop her from falling in love…

I loved it!! LOVED IT! Without a doubt my favorite Historical Romance of the year and my favorite book by Tessa Dare.

Ash was so amazing! He's witty, sexy and loyal. Emma was great too. I want to have a friend like her. She's smart, sweet and I loved that she keeps Ash on his toes. Their banter was priceless. I loved that they talked to each other and there wasn't any unnecessary drama.

Overall an amazing HR with a beautiful love story. This book is going to my list of faves of all time.

Review: Royally Endowed (Royally #3) by Emma Chase

Logan St. James is a smoldering, sexy beast. Sure, he can be a little broody at times—but Ellie Hammond’s willing to overlook that. Because, have you seen him??

Sexy. As. Hell.

And Ellie’s perky enough for both of them.

For years, she’s had a crush on the intense, gorgeous royal security guard—but she doesn’t think he ever saw her, not really.

To Logan, Ellie was just part of the job—a relative of the royal family he’d sworn to protect. Now, at 22 years old and fresh out of college, she’s determined to put aside her X-rated dreams of pat-downs and pillow talk, and find a real life happily ever after.

The Queen of Wessco encourages Ellie to follow in her sister’s footsteps and settle down with a prince of her own. Or a duke, a marquis…a viscount would also do nicely.

But in the pursuit of a fairy tale ending, Ellie learns that the sweetest crushes can be the hardest to let go.
***
Logan St. James grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, in a family on the wrong side of the law. But these days, he covers his tattoos and scars with a respectable suit. He’s handsome, loyal, brave, skilled with his hands and…other body parts.

Any woman would be proud to call him hers.

But there’s only one woman he wants.

For years he’s watched over her, protected her, held her hair back when she was sick, taught her how to throw a punch, and spot a liar.

He dreams of her. Would lay down his life for her.

But beautiful Ellie Hammond’s off-limits.

Everybody knows the bodyguard rules: Never lose focus, never let them out of your sight, and never, ever fall in love.

REVIEW

Loved it!!! Logan is my new book boyfriend 💜

What an amazing book! I can honestly say it's my favorite from this series and that's saying a lot since I loved all of them. Emma Chase, you are a genius!

The story begins with a scene that will leave you breathless. I was so intrigued! Then it takes us back to five years ago, when Logan and Ellie have recently met and Nicholas and Olivia are a new couple. Logan was sexy, loyal, responsible, and so sweet that I just fell in love with him just like Ellie did. He's pretty much irresistible. Ellie is such a nice person, so lively and honest. I loved that she fights for what she wants, and knows when to retreat too. Logan and Ellie are perfect for each other. I honestly think there's no one else for both of them. They are soul mates.

I don't usually like books with a slow burn romance but this couple needed that, making their relationship more believable. When they finally got together I literally cheered! I was so happy for them!

I also liked that we get to see how Nicholas, Olivia, Henry, Sarah and the Queen are doing. They were all a big part of this story and that made it more enjoyable to me.

This book was perfect. It had everything that I like in a romance and much more. Also the epilogue was amazing! This series is one of my favorites of all time, and I hope Emma writes about Tommy next. I just can't get enough of these characters :)

Review: Transcendence by Shay Savage

It’s said that women and men are from two different planets when it comes to communication, but how can they overcome the obstacles of prehistoric times when one of them simply doesn’t have the ability to comprehend language?

Ehd’s a caveman living on his own in a harsh wilderness. He’s strong and intelligent, but completely alone. When he finds a beautiful young woman in his pit trap, it’s obvious to him that she is meant to be his mate. He doesn’t know where she came from; she’s wearing some pretty odd clothing, and she makes a lot of noises with her mouth that give him a headache. Still, he’s determined to fulfill his purpose in life – provide for her, protect her, and put a baby in her.

Elizabeth doesn’t know where she is or exactly how she got there. She’s confused and distressed by her predicament, and there’s a caveman hauling her back to his cavehome. She’s not at all interested in Ehd’s primitive advances, and she just can’t seem to get him to listen. No matter what she tries, getting her point across to this primitive, but beautiful, man is a constant – and often hilarious – struggle.

With only each other for company, they must rely on one another to fight the dangers of the wild and prepare for the winter months. As they struggle to coexist, theirs becomes a love story that transcends language and time.

REVIEW

Yes, its official. This book is still one of my favorites after 2 years of first reading it. This is such a beautiful story. So romantic and unique. I love Ehd! He is so sweet, hardworking and loyal. Beh is also great. I can't imagine going back in time to such a place, but she was very strong. She sacrificed a lot for love.

If you haven't read this book I encourage you to do so. I promise you'll fall in love with Ehd and his beautiful heart.

Review: The Texan's Wager by Jodi Thomas

Thrown off a wagon train with two other women and trying to avoid jail for a murder they committed, Bailee Moore agrees to enter a "wife lottery"--a ploy concocted by the Cedar Point sheriff to secure wives for the men in the small Texas town.

For the sensible Bailee, however, marrying Carter McKoy is like exchanging one life sentence for another--especially since her new husband hasn't even seen fit to utter a single word in her presence. But still, she can't help thinking that something about this strong, silent farmer could be the key to leaving her troubled past behind...and making a worthy wager with her heart.

Loved it!! Carter is officially one of my favorite H's ever!! He is sweet, hardworking, loyal and sexy. He doesn't speak much, but when he does its so meaningful and beautiful it makes every word he says that much more special.

This story had it all. Romance, adventure, passion, and a little suspense. It was so romantic!

Highly recommend this book to all romance fans, specially if you love historical romance. Can't wait to read Sarah and Lacy's stories next.
