Really liked it!

Mack and Frannie are so amazing together. I loved that their relationship was real, with real problems, doubts and fears. This was such a refreshing take on your typical single dad-nanny romance. Being in a relationship with a single dad of 3 girls is not easy and I truly appreciate Melanie not glossing it over. It was really nice to see how Mack struggled with being a single dad but he loves his daughters so much and tries really hard to be the best dad possible. Frannie is so understanding and supportive. Their relationship is based on respect, love and empathy. You can tell they are soulmates and that their love is forever.

Highly recommend this book!

Really liked it!

I loved Charlie and Hudson. This story was so sweet and so different from other rockstar romances I’ve read. Its fresh and real. Hudson is so amazing! He’s not your typical rockstar (or what we've come to expect from a rockstar in romance) and I appreciate that so much! He’s sweet, sexy and swoon worthy. Charlie was great too, and her baby Mira was the cutest.

This was such a cute story! I had a great time reading it and highly recommend it if you are looking for a fun, sweet, low heat, low angst romance.

EXCERPT

“Charlie, where do you want me next?” Hudson’s voice sounds from behind me, making me jump.

The hairs on the back of my neck rise at the sound of his rich voice—the deep timbre almost echoing across the room—as I spin around to face him. “Gosh, Hudson, can you please stop sneaking up on me like that?”

I slap his shoulder lightly, leaving a nice flour mark on his black T-shirt.

Good. Serves him right.

Today is our second day together at “work,” and I still have to get used to him being around. Thankfully, I barely saw him yesterday, since he was helping one of the contractors fix a few things outside the building while I hid in my office, hunched over a pile of papers to make sure everything’s going according to plan. I wonder if Hudson stayed away from me on purpose, giving me some time to get used to him. I’m almost certain he knows how easily some people get overwhelmed by his presence.

He grimaces, but the mischief is clearly displayed in the way his eyes sparkle. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to, but you were so absorbed in your work. There could be a meteor coming your way, and you wouldn’t know it until it hit you.”

Well, he’s got me there. When I focus on something, it’s easy for me to zone out. “Very funny.”

I glare at him playfully and study him for a moment, taking him in, from his black T-shirt all the way to his dark gray jeans that are paired with black boots. His whole outfit is covered in dust, dirt, and a few specks of paint. He looks every bit the busy worker bee he’s been, and since I’m not blind—and my hormones practically demand it—I have to admit, he couldn’t look sexier.

I’ve been intrigued and attracted to Gregory since he first appeared in Taken. So when I learned that he was getting his own book I was ecstatic. I am happy to say his story didn’t disappoint.

Gregory and Amelia are so perfect for each other. They both share an obsession towards an event that happens in Taken and have demons of their own, but together they overcome them. The chemistry and sexual tension is off the charts from the start. You can feel the desperation, need and eventually love between them.

If you are looking for a sexy, sensual, slightly dark romance then this book is for you.

Note: I highly recommend you read Taken and Torn first, so you can fully understand the motivations and events in this book.

Prologue

Amelia

He says that together they twisted him.

Made him the monster he’s become.

But you can’t become something that wasn’t inside you all along.

A tear drops to the sketchbook on my lap, the blob smearing the lead. I wipe it away with the tip of my finger and watch the stain spread to the edge of the page.

I can’t seem to stop drawing that night.

The night when the Scafoni brothers stalked into our home and we were made to wear those rotting, disgusting sheaths and forced to stand on those ancient blocks as Sebastian Scafoni, first-born bastard, looked us over like we were cattle.

I can’t stop drawing the look on his face when he saw Helena.

Even if she wasn’t bound like she was, she’d have stood out.

She always thought herself the ugly duckling but she’s the most beautiful of all. She’s special. Always was. Different from us. And so much stronger.

Crap.

I swipe the back of my hand across my nose and listen to the sound of tears drop fat and heavy onto the page and this time when I lay my hand on the sketch, it’s to smear the wet across like maybe I can wipe away that night. Rub it off the page. Erase it out of history like it never happened.

“Oh, now look what you’ve done,” he says. His voice is deep and low, and I swear I can feel it as much as hear it.

He takes my hand with his gloved one and pulls it away.

“Ruined it.”

I look at him. I finally make myself look at him.

“I hate you.”

He grins. Shrugs a shoulder, his grip growing infinitesimally harder.

I glance at my palm—it’s black from the pencil—and look down at the page in front of me.

He’s right. It’s ruined.

But it doesn’t matter. I have dozens like it.

Hundreds.

Thousands.

I can’t stop drawing that night.

Can’t stop it from happening.

Really liked it!

Landon is so HOT! He’s sexy, confident and don’t get me started on his British accent. I really liked Skylar and how focused and determined she was. The chemistry and sexual tension was off the charts too! They are both so perfect for each other.

I really like Louise Bay’s writing and I know I am always going to have a good time when reading her books, and this one wasn’t an exception. Highly recommend this book if you are looking for a sexy, low angst contemporary romance.

“Did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight?”

For some reason, Landon’s compliment didn’t make me wince the way some men’s comments did. Everything about him was different and it had thrown me off kilter. His warm breath on my neck shouldn’t have made me shiver. He shouldn’t ease the ever-present knot in my stomach or have me wanting to slide my hand into his as we walked. He shouldn’t make me feel safe. “You didn’t.”

“Well, you do. Not that it’s any surprise.”

“Because you’re a gentleman who prefers blondes,” I said, nudging him gently with my elbow, trying to lighten the mood.

He pulled in a breath and scraped his hand through his hair. “I’m beginning to think I’m a man who just prefers you.”

I focused on the cobbled street in front of us. “Me?” Had I been mistaken about the ex-girlfriend in town or the girl on Tinder? I tried to hold my breath to ensure I heard his reply.

“Yeah, you. I like you. More and more.”

My stomach swooped, and I tried to think of a response. My head was telling me to run. Far away. I didn’t want to fall for anyone.
