Review: Her Book Boyfriend by K.R.Grace

She believes the secret to love is in the tropes of her favorite romance novels. He’s the best friend prepared to prove her wrong.
Then comes the bet.
If she can’t land a boyfriend for prom by recreating the ten popular tropes in her favorite romance author’s books, she has to go to the prom with her.
The glitch?
They’ve been close their entire lives. He’s the rock god and school legend, while she’s the brainy sidekick who does all his dirty breakups. Thus, finding a guy who doesn’t think they’re already an item is going to be a lot harder than she thinks.
Will she land the book boyfriend of her dreams? Or will she be forced to go to prom with her best friend.
The truth is in the pages

REVIEW

It was ok.

Cam and Macey are best friends, so I was expecting a fun friends-to lovers book. It is kinda that but it took too long for them to get there. They finally get together at around the 75% mark, and to be honest I didn’t feel the love. Macey for most of the book is interested in other things other than Cam, so when they do get together I felt it wasn’t entirely believable.

Macey got on my nerves at times, with her lists and always finding something wrong with the guys she dated. I am a picky person but Macey was too much. Cam, on the other hand was a little better and I did like him. Their friendship was beautiful and I really enjoyed their interactions. Sometimes I wished they had stayed best friends.

Overall this was a quick, entertaining read but I was expecting more.

3/5
